Exfoliation
We love using exfoliants in our soap! What are exfoliants? Anything that adds grit to the bar giving it a bit extra scrubbing power, designed to remove dead cells from the surface of the skin. We rank our soaps from 1-5 based on how much grit they contain. Here, we explain what we mean by each level of exfoliation.
Level 1 - No Grit: This is a smooth bar of soap with no exfoliation. Perfect for those with sensitive skin!
Level 2 - Polish Grit: This bar produces a very mild polish. Perfect for daily use. Wonderful texture and feel. Tolerated well by most people even those with moderately sensitive skin.
Level 3 - Mild Grit: Here we start getting a little bit of scrubbing action! If your looking for an exfoliating bar that you can still use regularly, this is the one for you! Most can use this daily or every other day but those with sensitive skin should limit use to once or twice a week. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Level 4 - Moderate Grit: Perfect for those who like a lot of exfoliation in there soaps. We recommend using this bar a few times a week. Not suitable for sensitive skin. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Level 5 - Heavy Grit: These are are most exfoliating bars! They are supper scrubby and great for getting a deep clean. These should be only be used once or twice a week. Not suitable for sensitive skin. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
